Carta a Robert Harris

Castellar de Vallés, 10th of April, 2014

Dear Mr. Robert Harris,

We are high school students in Castellar Del Vallès, Barcelona (Spain). We are currently in grade 4, which would be year 11 in the British system. The reason why we are writing to you is because we are doing a research project on your book Pompeii in an interdisciplinary approach between the subjects: Latin, Spanish literature and geology.

All the students have read your book and it has impressed us a lot, because some of us have travelled to Pompeii and we have observed its remans in great detail.

Thanks to your bibliography, we know that part of your work is located at the time of the Empire, therefore we have learnt aspects of classical culture from your novels. Your book has been an excellent source of information, as well as a great source of inspiration for us.

We are aware of your interest in volcanology, because in the novel we read fragments from works dealing with this subject.

Our project, still in progress, can be followed in our web page:

There, we have included a section where you can add comments.

We would be really pleased if you visited our site and left us a comment. It would be highly appreciated and we would be very thankful.

Yours sincerely,

Teachers and students of this project.
